A Better World is Possible
Right now, New York is experiencing three concurrent crises: a crisis of health with COVID-19, the economic crisis of mass unemployment, and the crisis of racism in our systems of law enforcement. All of these crises has something crucial in common. They haven’t presented us new problems, but they’ve set on fire existing ones. These are systemic problems and I’m proud to be fighting for systemic solutions like Medicare for all, a federal jobs guarantee, and the end to mass incarceration. People are coming together in an unprecedented movement to fight for these solutions and build a better world. Join us.

Learn MoreWith working families struggling and our planet under threat, we can’t just wait around for progressive change. It’s time for us to act.
Our campaign is fighting for a powerful set of policies that will reshape our economy, minimize inequality and reverse the effects of climate change. Through a Green New Deal, we will eliminate our greenhouse gas emissions and guarantee a high-wage job to everyone who wants one. And we’re not stopping there—our platform calls for federal limits on rent increases, transformative criminal justice reform, Medicare for All and tuition-free public college.
The time for half measures is over. We need solutions that are big enough to match the crises we face.

In order for us to put everyday New Yorkers first, we have to take on the powerful and corrupting influence of big money.
My campaign is 100% people-funded.
In Alexandria’s short time in congress, she has held powerful people accountable on the House floor and played a key role in building a mass movement to end climate change with a Green New Deal. At home, she has stood time and again with immigrant communities against the Trump administration’s bigotry and secured crucial funding for community initiatives.

Medicare For All
Our broken healthcare system made this novel coronavirus exceptionally crippling. Now, because our health insurance is tied to our job, over 30 million Americans are facing not only unemployment but losing their health insurance too. As we begin to reopen, we have to ask ourselves what our new normal should look like. If you lose your job, you shouldn’t lose your healthcare too. And if you get sick, you shouldn’t be put under a mountain of debt. Medicare for All guarantees healthcare to everyone, curbs costs, and improves long-term health.
Housing As a Human Right
Alexandria believes housing is a human right. As a result of COVID-19, millions are facing the anxiety of eviction or foreclosure, but government leaders have done little - due in part to the outsized influence of large landlords and the real estate industry. To emerge from this pandemic and lay the foundation for future housing stability, we need to refocus housing policy to protect current occupants, repair public housing, and build new affordable housing.
Creating Public Safety
Instead of investing in mass incarceration, we need to invest in the most vulnerable members of our society.
